Bible Study – When You Pray

Date: Saturday 2 January 2027
Time: 7:00 PM

Join us for our new teaching series 'When you pray'.

Key Scriptures: Matthew 6; John 14:12–14; Romans 8:26–27

For every believer, prayer is meant to be a direct line of communication with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yet, it is far too easy to let it slip into a dry, passive devotional habit. True communication builds strong relationships and prayer is no exception. It isn't merely telling Jesus what is on our minds but positioning ourselves to hear what He is saying to us. When Jesus instructed His disciples to pray, “Our Father…” (Luke 11:2; Matthew 6:9), He was revealing an intimate, family dynamic grounded in faith, love and submission to His will.

Throughout this study, “When You Pray…”, we will examinethe foundational role prayer should play in our spiritual walk. We will consider how we can come before our LORD not out of duty, but with the bold, trusting confidence of a child approaching a loving Father. Together we will learn to approach every moment of prayer with bold faith and great expectation, believing that He hears us and delights to answer.

Teaching Framework:

  • The Heart and Purpose of Prayer
  • The Pattern: The LORD’S Prayer
  • In His Presence
  • The Power of Prayer
  • Sustaining a Daily Prayer Life
