About our initiative

More than supplies. It's about support.

Our Back to School Service initiative is about more than just school supplies, it’s about showing God’s love in practical ways and walking alongside families. Whether you need support, want to register your child, or would like to sponsor a backpack, there’s a place for you to get involved.

How it works

1. Register

Parents/ carers complete the registration form with basic details.

2. Review

The team reviews the submission and confirms the next steps.

3. Receive Support

Registered families should attend the Back to School Service where resources will be distributed at the conclusion of the service.

Terms and Conditions

  • Child must be present to receive their backpack, one per registered/eligible child.
  • Open to children ages 4 – 16 yrs old who live in the London Borough of Croydon.
  • Parents/guardians must register each child in advance to reserve a backpack; walk-ups may not be guaranteed one.

 

  • All required forms (registration, consent, and any safeguarding-related forms) must be completed in full and submitted before the event.

  • Attendance at the service is a prerequisite to receiving a backpack.
  • Backpacks are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Registration does not guarantee a backpack once stock is exhausted.
  • Photographs and videos may be taken during the event for promotional use (e.g. social media, website, newsletters); if, parents/guardians have given consent.

  • Personal details collected at registration are used solely for event administration and (unless you have consented for us to stay in touch), stored securely, and not shared with third parties without consent.
  • Backpacks and contents are provided through the generosity of The Well – Bethel, donors and sponsors; availability depends on donations received.

  • Backpacks are given as gifts and are not eligible for exchange or refund.

  • Additional monetary or item donations to support future initiatives are welcome via the link provided on this page
  • The child must be present, accompanied by a parent/guardian, to collect the backpack.

  • Backpacks will only be distributed following the service.

  • Light refreshments will be available; please advise organisers of any allergies in advance.
